Coming Unto Christ means walking away from the world. [Image] [Source]
"Coming unto Christ is not a single event with a fixed point of beginning or ending; rather, it is a process that develops and deepens during a lifetime. As an initial step in the process, we certainly must obtain knowledge and learn about Jesus and His life, teachings, and ministry. But truly coming unto Him also requires consistent obedience and striving to become like Jesus in our thoughts, motives, communications, and actions. As we “press forward” (2 Ne. 31:20) on the pathway of discipleship, we can draw near unto the Savior with the expectation that He will draw near unto us; we can seek Him diligently with the hope that we shall find Him; we can ask with confidence that we shall receive; and we can knock anticipating that the door shall be opened unto us.  One of the best ways to draw near unto Him and to both learn about and become more like the Lord Jesus Christ is to consistently study the holy scriptures—to daily “feast upon the words of Christ”."  - David A. Bednar, April 2006.
“I am amazed at the Savior’s encircling arms of mercy and love, [and] I testify that [He] is able and eager to forgive our sins. What a marvelous privilege for us to turn away from our sins and to come unto Christ. Divine forgiveness is one of the sweetest fruits of the gospel, removing pain from our hearts and replacing [it] with joy and peace of conscience. Jesus declares, ‘Will ye not now return unto me, and repent of your sins, and be converted, that I may heal you?’" - Neil L. Andersen
"Following Christ is not a casual or occasional practice but a continuous committment and way of life that applies at all times and in all places."  - Dallin H. Oaks
“The tempest is raging, the billows are tossing high. In every stage and every age we have an opportunity to declare our position, whether we will miss the boat or be on board safely with the Master at the helm. If we choose to come unto Christ, he promises peace… even in times of storm. Obedience to the commandments of God assures our safe travel.” –Ardeth G. Kapp ("Rejoice his Promises are Sure", the chapter is called Master the Tempest is Raging, p. 70-71.
