Laurette writes, "We just viewed the church produced "A brand new year" DVD tonight. It's recommended you have activities inbetween the sections [of the movie] and so we decided to play "Be Thou an Example Jeopardy". It was a real hit with our youth, so I thought I'd share the game clues / answers.
To play, you basically follow the same rules as the TV game show. You read out the 'answer' and people have to guess the 'question'. I put up the names of the categories horizontally across the chalk board.
Underneath I put all the names of the people in that category. Then I covered them each up with an 8.5 X 11 sheet of paper that said how many points that answer was worth, ie. 100, 200, 400, 800 or 1000.
We divided into two teams. That worked well. If I had to do it again, I wouldn't wait for a team to miss an answer before the other team got a chance. I changed it part way through the game to make it even. If we were playing this again, I would give each side one chance to pick a category and amount, and then go to the other team. That way both teams get a good chance."
