LESSON HELPS:

Have girl's parents write down their testimonies.  Tie each testimony into a scroll and tie each one with a pretty bow.  Give the girls their parents testimonies as a handout.  If any of the parents are not members, you could ask them to write down, "Things I know for sure"...lessons they've learned and can share with their daughter.

OBJECT LESSONS:

I used a couple of object lessons for this lesson that were very effective. The first one was about testing the law of gravity. I brought in two balls and told them I wasn't sure if I believed the law of gravity was real. I then set the balls down and said "See it doesn't work. They are just sitting there." I asked the girls, "What's wrong with my experiment?" Of course they identified that I hadn't tested it the right way. Then I pulled out an apple & a knife & began cutting the apple & eating it. I talked about how delicious the apple was. I said, "Don't you think the apple is delicious?" Some responded, "I guess" and "Well, I don't really know" and "Yes, if you say so." I told them that they could take my word for it and believe that the apple was good, but if they really wanted to know how it tasted and if they wanted to enjoy the apple, they had to try it. I shared the apple with the girls and we read John 7:17 and discussed the scripture.
