We are planning an activity that involves the Chinese New Year.  I went to a Chinese restaurant and got a waiter to write each of the girls names in Chinese. I also picked up some free chopsticks while there. On the Internet, it tells about the different customs that go along with the different days of the New year. On one day, the Chinese eat noodles to honor one of their family members...can't remember which one. Anyway, that's what we'll do...learn to eat noodles with chopsticks (developing a talent?). And we'll talk about the reasoning behind the different animals (year of the pig, horse, rat, etc.)  I think this might interest the girls and be sort of fun at the same time.  Our two activities for the month will both involve Chinese New Year. The first date we can talk of customs and such and the next activity we'll cook and eat.
