Mary Ann writes, "I just wanted to share what we're going to do this Wednesday for a class activity, but could also be used for a combined, or joint activity as well. Our Bishop had a youth New Year's Eve Party and showed the first part of the Brand New Year DVD. (The Introduction) Only half of the Mia Maids showed up so, this Wednesday, we're going to watch it online (youth.lds.org) on my secretary's dad's laptop that she's bringing. (If you have a big group, you could project it on a wall or screen) It's only 20 minutes long. Then I'm going to share my testimony on the For the Strength of Youth Book and the Standards. Then I'm going invite anyone else who'd like to share their testimony to do so.
After everyone who'd like to share has shared, we're going to make T-shirts (girl's provide their own shirt of any color) with these iron-ons that I got off the youth website. I'm going to take the girls' pictures this Sunday and put their pictures around it. So it'll look like the poster you can download. All you need to do is download the iron-on, save it, open it in power point, flip the image, take and put the pictures on your compture, insert the pictures in power point, resize the pictures, and recolor them so they're all one color like in the poster. Then just move the pictures around and flip them too. You can get iron on paper that you can print on at Michael's Arts and Crafts Store, so my counselor is going to get the paper and I'll print them. My presidency are all going to bring irons and we're going to iron them onto shirts. That should take up the whole time, but just in case, I'm going to have one of my counselors print the commitment cards that we can write goals on in case we have a few extra minutes. The girls' are WAY EXCITED! It should be fun! :) I think some of the girls are even thinking about makeing a hoodie instead of a T-shirt! Cool!"
