4. Tell your class that Heavenly Father loves us. We are his children created in his image. We can show our thanks and love for him by remembering where we come from, respecting our bodies, and remembering that our bodies are very precious. Let everyone have the opportunity to look in the mirror. Talk about how the reflection in the mirror is what people see when they look at us. We take good care of that image by bathing, combing our hair, and brushing our teeth. But we need to take care of our “inside reflections” too. Heavenly Father sees our spirits, not just our outer appearance. Through prayer, scripture study, good works, and choosing the right, our inside image or reflection will shine through, and those around us will see who we really are—children on God. (Deseret Book Website, Shauna Mooney Kawasaki, My Family Can Be Forever, [Salt Lake City: Deseret Book, 2003], p. 2.)
5. File Folder Game "I am a child of God"
6. If possible, display a picture of each class member as a baby. Let the children try to find their own pictures and identify the others. Tell how each child is different—and special. Testify of each child’s divine nature.
7. Do this puzzle together as a class.
8. Know who you are

10. Have everyone sit in a circle. Place a bottle on its side in the center, and spin the bottle. When it stops, have all the others in the circle tell one thing that describes the person at whom the bottle points. (For example: “He is a boy.” “His name is Terry.” “He is six years old.” “He laughs a lot.”) If no one else mentions it, add, “He is a child of Heavenly Father.” Repeat this until everyone in the circle has been described. Point out that even though each person’s description may be different, he is a true child of God. Then discuss whether Heavenly Father likes one person better than another for any reason, such as his age or hair color. Explain that every person is important to Heavenly Father because every person is his child.
