3. Draw the following outline on the chalkboard (see graphic on right). Draw and cut out a mouth, eyes, ears, hands, and feet to fit your figure. Put them in a paper sack. Tell the class that the person on the board is at church. Have a child take an item out of the sack and tape it on the correct place on the person. Have the rest of the class tell what that part of the body should do if the person is being reverent. Continue until all the pieces have been posted.
4. Teach them the song, "Reverently, Quietly"

14. I shared with them the poem "What If" it is from the Friend. I printed off a small mouse and gave them it to put in their pocket (or lap). I brought tape for those who did not have a pocket. They sat so still so that their mice could see and hear. (Idea by Nicole Richins / ga11152007)
15. We had the lesson on reverence last Sunday. I had the children close their eyes, and I dropped my shoes on the carpeted floor. I asked them what the sound was, and we talked about how loud it was. Then I had them close their eyes again, and dropped fall leaves. We talked about how being quiet as falling leaves was showing reverence to Heavenly Father. Especially in Sacrament meeting. (Idea by Robin Abraham)
16. Reverence Train: Go on a short walk somewhere in your church building, even just up and down the hall. Practice folding arms and walking quietly. Have them think of ways they can show reverence for it, such as by putting litter in the wastebasket, taking good care of the grounds, opening and shutting classroom doors quietly, whispering in the chapel when they need to talk, walking (not running) in the halls.

19. I can Be Reverent by David Hill - Power Point Presentation
20. For this lesson I want the children to understand in their own way what is reverence by showing to them first the words of the song “Reverence is Love”. I will divide the class into four teams. In each team or group, a set of different pictures will be given to them. Each picture represents the words in the song. The group will discuss which picture match the song and they will tell the class why they think that picture matches the words in the song. After they complete the picture, everyone then sings the song with better understanding of what is reverence. [Click here to open power point] (Shared by Marivic / ga06142014)
