"Last week our Primary had the best Sharing Time presentation in a long time. The Valiant 9 class did it. They did it on the Word of Wisdom. The teacher dressed up like a doctor, one girl as a nurse, two boys had broken legs (they had been DUI and had an accident), one boy was nervous and jittery with a headache and stomach ache and couldn't sleep (too much coffee) one boy had a broken arm (he had fallen down because he had been using illegal drugs), and the last boy had yellow teeth (pretend), bad breath, a horrible cough, smelly clothes and yellow stains on his finger (a smoker). The teacher wanted to show the children the consequences of not following the Word of Wisdom. The nurse brought in each of the patients to the doctor. The doctor asked them what their symptoms were. Then she listened to their lungs and said "O my it sounds like you have lung cancer." Next she saw the drunks, asked them their symptoms and listened to their liver and said, "O my your liver sounds horrible, it sounds like cirrhosis." She saw the other patients too and gave them a diagnosis as the others.
All the patients left the room and changed into a hiker, a runner, a skier, and a healthy eater. While they changed the teacher read out of the Doctrine and Covenants and discussed it with the children. When the healthy life-stylers came in they talked about what they could do since they exercised and their bodies felt so good and healthy. The teacher ended with telling the children the importance of following the Word of Wisdom and the commandments. All the children loved the sharing time. It was the best one in a long time."
